The fruit is what makes this plant special. Noni plant gives fruit all year long. It flowers all the time with small white flowers. Noni fruit that grows afterwards can be from 4 to 7 cm big and full of seeds. At the beginning the fruit is green but then it turns yellow and at the end almost white. Noni fruit itself has an unpleasant odor when it ripens. It stinks! Because of this odor the fruit is also called cheese fruit or vomit fruit.

Harvesting must preserve the nutrients in the fruit and also come at the right time when the levels of the polysaccharides, fatty acids, and proteins-compounds are at their highest.
